It’s always messy before it gets clean.
In business, in life. In strategy, in creativity.
The idea that it should be easy, that it will be simple, that there are quick shortcuts, is a theme of our age.
If you want what everyone else has done, it might be true.
If you are satisfied with the copy, that might be enough.
But for the complicated, messy is necessary.
For the original, the different, it is a must.
It’s where you think things others may have not.
Where you explore ideas others might not have tried.
It means you are asking questions you don't yet know how to answer.
It means you are challenging assumptions.
It will get you further.
It will find things others have not.
If at first it feels messy, that’s good.
It's the price of creativity, of the new.
If it doesn’t, ask, what am I missing?
