Hope is a funny thing.
It’s what keeps us going, it can help us cope, but it is also what can hold us back.
Because if we stay in hope, we often stay out of action.
It is the ultimate motivator, but also the ultimate excuse.
To hope something will get better is also a reason to not do more.
If we just stay in hope, we are also more likely to wait.
If we rely on it too much, we become less reliant on ourselves.
Be hopeful, but not at the price of inaction, not at the price of now.
Make hope the foundation of action, not the excuse not to act.
